Carmax to invest $4.5 million in Baton Rouge
Fresh on the heels of the decision by Albemarle Corp. to move its corporate headquarters to Baton Rouge, La., we now discover that Carmax is investing $4.5 million to open a used car store in the Louisiana state capital!!! Does this signal a mass exodus from Richmond to the home of the LSU tigers?
Nah, false alarm. The move is a routine expansion of Carmax's "pre-owned" car franchise, and nothing to be worried about. The (Baton Rouge) Advocate has the details.
