Former Govs. A. Linwood Holton Jr. and L. Douglas Wilder have been given the Gerald L. Baliles Distinguished Service Award for exceptional service and contributions to the bar and public at large from the Virginia Bar Association.
W. Alexander Burnett of Williams Mullen has been given the Sandra P. Thompson Award from the Young Lawyers Division for outstanding work and exceptional long-term service to the division and the Virginia Bar Association.
Christopher M. Gill of Christian & Barton has been given the Emerson G. Spies Award from the Young Lawyers Division for enthusiasm, loyalty and dedication in work for the division and the Virginia Bar Association in a given year.
Tim O. Dudley, vice president of real estate for Richmond-based Motley’s Auction & Realty Group, was inducted into the Virginia Auctioneer Association’s Hall of Fame. The Hall of Fame recognizes those who uphold the highest standards and professionalism in the auctioneering industry. Dudley began auctioneering in 1981. He was the State Auctioneering Champion in 1989 and served as president of the Virginia Auctioneer Association in 1999.
