Movies in a Minute: 'News of the World' & 'The Midnight Sky'

Movie critic Bruce Miller says the photography in "News of the World" is good; the plotting isn’t. "News of the World” isn’t earthshaking, just an opportunity for Tom Hanks to do a western. Also this week in “The Midnight Sky” George Clooney never seems to find a ray of hope. In the head-to-head competition, Hanks wins the battle over Clooney only because he doesn’t start out defeated. “The Midnight Sky” begins its assault right away and doesn’t stop hammering. Clooney gets one of those heart-tugging moments at the end – it’s a great payoff if you’ve made it that far.
