Goochland continued its undefeated season by shutting out visiting King William 21-0 to advance to the Class 2, Region A championship game.

Devin McCray opened the scoring with a 37-yard run in the second quarter for the Bulldogs (12-0).

Quincy Snead added a 97-yard kick return for a touchdown, and Conner Poppielarz scored on a 38-yard run. King William’s season ends at 9-2.

Jalen Brown completed 21 of 38 passes for 302 yards and two touchdowns, but it wasn't enough as the Raiders (10-2) fell to the Islanders (9-3) in the Class 2, Region A semifinals.

Colton Hicks scored from 2 yards out to put the Islanders on the scoreboard first. The Raiders responded with a 16-yard touchdown pass from Brown to Howard Divens before halftime.

The Islanders dominated the third quarter, scoring touchdowns on a 32-yard pass from Steven Parker to Bailey Green and a 9-yard run by Hicks.

Ethan Sneddon made a 40-yard field goal in the fourth quarter to extend the Islanders’ lead to 24-7.

The Raiders closed out the scoring with a 17-yard connection between Brown and Ziayahn Jackson. Jackson finished with 10 receptions for 147 yards.
