Mr. and Mrs. James D. Utterback of New Hope, Pennsylvania, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Jennifer (Jen) Elizabeth Utterback, to Luther (Luke) Ray Ashworth II, son of Mr. and Mrs. G. Munford Ashworth of Mechanicsville, Virginia.
Jen is the granddaughter of Agnes A. Utterback of Palo Alto, California; the late Mr. and Mrs. Dennis J. Byrne, formerly of Ocean City, New Jersey; and the late John D. Utterback, formerly of Greenwich, Connecticut.
Luke is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. J. Allen Gorman of Forest, Virginia; the Honorable L. Ray Ashworth of Richmond, Virginia; and the late Anne M. Ashworth, formerly of Richmond, Virginia.
Both Luke and Jen are graduates of Virginia Tech. Luke is also a graduate of Washington and Lee University School of Law.
A September wedding in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, is planned.
