Man found dead of apparent stab wounds in South Richmond

A man was pronounced dead Sunday morning after he was found in a South Richmond home with apparent stab wounds.

Richmond police officers found the man in the 1600 block of Maury Street after responding there at about 7:45 a.m. for a report of a person down.

He was unresponsive and pronounced dead at the scene.

The state medical examiner’s office will determine the cause and manner of the death.
