RESTON Two passengers in a taxi were killed about 1:45 a.m. Saturday in Fairfax County after the vehicle was struck head-on by another car.

Fairfax County police say two men, ages 29 and 34, of Sterling in Loudoun County died in the crash. The 47-year-old taxi driver was taken to a hospital in serious condition.

Jimenez Benitez, 24, of Herndon was driving south on the Fairfax County Parkway when he veered into the northbound lanes, police said. He has been charged with two counts of aggravated involuntary manslaughter. He will be transferred to a detention center.
