Think living in poverty is easy? Then try it

With regard to Jeff Easter’s letter on Nov. 16, “Programs like New College Institute ‘doomed to fail,’” people like him seem to think that low income people are lazy, hence “why apply oneself when you can get along just fine doing nothing.” This being the case, I suggest Mr. Easter find such a person and trade places. Then you’ll find out just how well they are doing.
