That was quite a turnout for Rep. Dave Brat’s town hall Tuesday night. Mostly Democrats showed up, mostly to rake Brat over the coals.

We hope they’re feeling better now, with some of that out of their system.

Brat gamely tried to answer questions. He offered a thorough and informative discussion about the debate over pre-existing conditions, which has been atrociously mis-reported, and spoke in depth about precisely what is in the House health care bill.

The audience behaved with astonishing rudeness.

Rep. Tom Garrett held a similar event, with similar boorish behavior, the same night. One lady was so disruptive she had to be removed.

People have every right to rage at their congressmen, their president, or anybody else they care to. After a while, though, the emotional vomiting gets old.

Folks are angry. Copy that, loud and clear. We get it.

But when did banging on a high chair with a spoon ever lead to a solution?
