The Richmond Times-Dispatch’s vacation-hold policy allows a customer to place his or her home-delivery subscription on hold until he or she returns. Place a hold online or call us and let us know when you will be out of town. Please let us know at least 24 hours prior to your departure. The RTD will hold your newspapers, and, on your next scheduled delivery date, your newspapers will be delivered to your home.
It’s easy to place a stop on your paper while you are out of town.
• Go to our subscription-management page and log into your account.
• Click on “Pause Home Delivery” in the menu on the left side of the page. On the next page, click “Add Vacation.”
• Enter the date you want your newspaper delivery stopped and restarted.
• Indicate whether you would like to have your newspapers held and delivered when you return or if you’d prefer not to receive the missed papers.
Remember, if you are a Subscriber Plus customer, which features unlimited digital use, you may continue to use our website, mobile website, app and e-edition even while your newspaper delivery is temporarily stopped.
