This footage was filmed and produced 27 January 2023. Tyre Nichols, a 29-year-old Black man, was hospitalized after the arrest on January 7 and died three days later from injuries sustained, according to police. Five officers from the Memphis Police Department, who are also Black, were fired and face criminal charges. This footage shows Tyre’s mother during protest in Memphis, TN, USA asking for peaceful protests as the body cam footage is expected to be released.
