Founded in 1984 as the Atlantic coast Athletic Club, acac has grown from a single 5,000 square-foot facility into one of the nation’s premier health club companies.  Today acac owns and operates 13 clubs in the Mid-Atlantic region, and acac co-owns four physical therapy clinics in Central Virginia.  We are known for our first-rate facilities, friendly service, world-class fitness and wellness experts, and innovative programming, including medical fitness services and an extensive schedule of land, water, and mind-body group classes.

acac is a welcoming club community that attracts members of all ages and stages of life.  Our physician referred exercise program (p.r.e.p.) is the cornerstone of our mission to make fitness and wellness accessible to the community.
