trend., a family-owned gift shop and retail store, was opened to enhance the vibrancy of Blackstone’s Historic Main Street District, support Virginia artisans, and create jobs in the community. The owners, Kim and Andrew Moody, renovated a 3,400 sq. ft. building in a matter of four months and opened their doors on April 24, 2011. Just three short years later, trend. had outgrown its home! In July of 2014, the couple purchased a 15,000 sq. ft. former department store building, did a complete renovation, and moved in a little over two months later. Today, trend. is expanding to a new second location in Richmond on Cary Street, where they are proud to offer local and Virginia-made products, hundreds of customizable items, clothing, jewelry, and home decor. The store will also house the office of Kim Moody Design, which was voted Best Wedding Planner for Best of Borrowed & Blue Richmond 2016 and was also awarded 3rd place as Best Event Planning Company in Virginia Living Magazine.
