Courtney Rapp, registered nurse and CEO of Youthful Beginnings, believes clarity is key. For her, it’s all about education, business discipline, protocol-driven care and a client-first ethos. Rapp and company founder Michelle Dickerson, FNP, DNP, both have decades of clinical experience in the acute care setting, and they are driven by protocol, not fads.

Youthful Beginnings was established in 2019 when Dickerson decided to pursue her passion in aesthetics. She and Rapp have since built six successful Youthful Beginnings locations throughout the state, with the first franchise expected to open in December at 12006 Southshore Pointe Drive in Midlothian. Their second franchise location will be opening in Kilmarnock, Virginia, early next year.

“Too often, attention in this industry goes to those with the most followers rather than to those with the proper education and medical expertise — and that can be dangerous,” Dickerson said. “We’ve seen people purchasing neurotoxins online and attempting to inject themselves at home, which poses serious risks. At Youthful Beginnings, we monitor trends, but we don’t chase them. Our focus is on safety and achieving the client’s optimal results. We hope to help raise the standard for our industry rather than cutting corners for quick gains.”
