Fall Festival and Scream Time at Tree Time Adventures
Weekends in October
Tree Time Adventures presents its annual Fall Festival and Scream Time Haunted Trail! Fun for all ages. Activities include the Tree Time Challenge Courses — for ages three and up, with varying levels of difficulty — pumpkin trails, cornhole, horseshoes, concessions, music and more.

9th Annual Virginia Czech & Slovak Folklife Festival
Oct. 21, 11 a.m.–4 p.m.

Enjoy a festival featuring authentic and delicious Czech and Slovak foods (Jidlo), beer (Pivo), music (Muszika), dancing and wonderful baked goods. See agricultural exhibits and tour the Czech & Slovak Gallery in the Heritage Center, where you can immerse yourself in the rich history and culture of the Czech and Slovak families who settled in this region shortly after the Civil War after finding abandoned farmland.
The gallery inside the museum presents the stories, photos, time lines and maps. Shop the gift shop for beautiful items made of Czech glass, books, art and much more. The Oyster Festival at Appomattox Boat Harbor
