5 must-see tacky light houses in West End and Henrico

The Richmond Times-Dispatch puts together the Tacky Christmas Lights List every year. But with so many houses on the list, it can feel pretty daunting. We're going to break it down for you with five great tacky light houses in select neighborhoods and counties around town.

Check out these over-the-top displays in Henrico and the West End:

9604 Asbury Court

The Phifers are back this year, lighting up their home at 9604 Asbury Court with updated LED lights and an updated design and decorations this year. The Phifers have been lighting up for 50 years. Visitors are invited to get out and walk around to get a close look at the display. The family is often out with hot chocolate for sale. Make a donation to keep the tradition going.

2302 Wistar Court

This home has a themed tacky light display with around 275,000 lights and is located next to Mr. Christmas' house, who has since retired from the tour.

2334 Thousand Oaks Drive

The Preissner home, covered with 85,000 lights, features a star on the chimney with a tail of lights. A sleigh is pulled by four reindeer. The trees and bushes are decorated with various colored lights. The house is outlined with white lights and accented with blue and white icicle lights. A favorite with tours.

7700 Hermitage Road

This Henrico home is covered in colorful lights. The homeowner is carrying on his father's tradition after his passing. 

7729 Brookside Road

The homeowners say this Tacky Winter wonderland has "too too many to count."
