Test your Christmas fortune with the naughty or nice button

Play with the Christmas tree and Step into Christmas with the foot activated keyboard. Then try the scavenger hunt and encrypted Christmas carols. Finally write a letter to Santa with a return address and you might just get a letter back."

One of the brightest homes in Mechanicsville, be sure to check out Donnie Leake's house on Smithy Court.

This fun and festive house has over 212 blow molds and a candy cane arch and much more.

Leake has been decorating his home since 2011 and it's become a favorite on the tour.

He now has 16,300 lights to a tree in the middle of the yard plus 36 spiral trees.

He has 27 fabric characters like Micky, Minnie, Snoopy and Elmo.

He's also added a selfie-photo area with 18 characters like Big Bird, Cookie Monster and others. He's also added tacky lights from other homes in the area that are no longer doing it.

He has more rope light characters like Santa Claus, some are animated.

He says he started small but has really enjoyed getting into the "tacky" spirit.

"I enjoy setting it up, I love going out and finding things for it. I love the whole process," he says.

Hours: Nightly at 6:30 p.m.-10 p.m., until 10:30 p.m. on the weekends. Lights up Nov. 30-Dec. 30.

From the owner: "50,000 lights synchronized to popular Christmas music. You can listen to music on your car stereo. Show runs about 30 minutes daily from 5:30pm to 10:30pm. See website for details."

"Chris, Melissa, and our 3 little ones are working hard to get everything completed by December 1st. We have been decorating our home for over a decade. We have thousands of lights, over 100 blow ups, over 100 plastic molds and a lighted candy cane driveway with over 100 candy canes to circle through. There are countless scenes and photo opportunities throughout. We enjoy sharing our holiday spirit with the entire community each year and enjoy adding to our display each year.
