Music in the Park returns to Occoneechee State Park

CLARKSVILLE, Va. – Occoneechee State Park is excited to announce the return of its popular Music in the Park series, offering a season of live music performances set against the beautiful backdrop of Buggs Island Lake.
The series kicks off on May 23 and will feature a diverse lineup of local and regional artists. Visitors are invited to bring lawn chairs or blankets and enjoy an evening of music under the open sky.
Concerts will take place at the park's amphitheater. Each performance is free; however, the standard parking fee applies.

May 23, 6-9 p.m., Carlyle & Chris Leggett Band: Father and son duo, playing a mix of original songs and covers from influences like John Prine, Grateful Dead and The Wood Brothers.
June 27, 6-9 p.m., Driftwood Band: This eclectic group of local musicians performing hometown songwriter originals, country, blues and Americana favorites.
July 25, 6-8 p.m., Open Mic Night: Local musicians are invited to bring their instruments and take the stage. Arrive early to reserve your spot.
Aug. 22, 6-9 p.m., The Tobacco Road Band: Their music is a blend of soul and blues, country and southern rock and roll.
