Aug. 16-17: The southbound 288 ramp to Watkins Centre Parkway will be closed nightly. Motorists should follow the posted detour which is to continue southbound to the ramp for westbound Route 60 to Watkins Centre Parkway.
Aug. 18-19: The southbound 288 ramp to westbound Route 60 will be closed nightly. Motorists should follow the posted detour which is to continue southbound to eastbound Route 60 to northbound Route 288 to the westbound Route 60 ramp.
Aug. 20: The northbound Watkins Centre Parkway ramp to southbound Route 288 will be closed. Motorists should follow the posted detour which is to take southbound Watkins Centre Parkway to eastbound Route 60 to the southbound Route 288 ramp.
Update (August 7): Work will continue on the eastbound Route 60 ramp to northbound 288 nightly August 11-13. See details below.

Update (July 31)
Nightly ramp closures will continue Aug. 2-6 as follows:
- Eastbound Route 60 to southbound Route 288: Sunday, Aug. 2, 10 p.m.-5 a.m. See detour below.
- Westbound Route 60 to southbound Route 288 and southbound Route 288 to eastbound Route 60: Monday-Tuesday, Aug. 3-4, 10 p.m.-5 a.m. The contractor will alternate ramp closures during work hours. Motorists should follow the posted detours using northbound Route 288 and Huguenot Trail for the Route 60 east to Route 288 south ramp closure and Woolridge Road to northbound Route 288 for the latter ramp closure.
Update (July 23)
Due to weather, the ramp closures have shifted as follows:
- Eastbound Route 60 to southbound Route 288 will close the nights of July 28 and 30.
- Southbound Route 288 to Otterdale Road/Watkins Centre Parkway will close the night of July 29.

Original announcement
RICHMOND – The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT), and its contractor, will close two ramps along Route 288 near the interchange with Route 60 in Midlothian from July 27-30 for paving. Motorists should follow the posted detours or seek alternate routes to avoid delays.
Work is weather permitting as follows:
- Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday, July 27, 29, and 30, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.: The eastbound Route 60 ramp to southbound Route 288 will close. The posted detour will be to take northbound Route 288 to Route 711 (Huguenot Trail) to access southbound Route 288.
- Tuesday, July 28, from 7 p.m. to 8 a.m.: The southbound Route 288 ramp to Route 667 (Otterdale Road/Watkins Centre Parkway) will close. The posted detour will be to continue south to take Route 668 (North Woolridge Road) to northbound Route 288 to eastbound Route 60 to southbound Otterdale Road/Watkins Centre Parkway.
