RICHMOND – Beginning Sunday, March 29, through Saturday, April 4, the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will be repairing overpasses along I-95 in Henrico County, weather permitting. Traffic changes are detailed below:
10 p.m. Sunday, March 29 – 6 a.m. Wednesday, April 1: Nightly southbound I-95 double lane closures at mile marker 83, the Parham Road overpass. Concurrently, the westbound Parham Road ramp to southbound I-95 will be closed and traffic will be detoured to northbound U.S. 1 (Brook Road) to southbound I-295 and back to southbound I-95.
Dumbarton Road overpass
10 p.m. Sunday, March 29 – 6 a.m. Wednesday, April 1, and 11 p.m. Thursday, April 2 – 6 a.m. Saturday, April 4: Nightly southbound I-95 double lane closures at mile marker 81, the Dumbarton Road overpass. Concurrently, the northbound and southbound Brook Road ramps to southbound I-95 will be closed with the following detours:
Northbound Brook Road traffic: Continue past the ramp closure to eastbound Parham Road and back to I-95 southbound.
Southbound Brook Road traffic: Take eastbound Wilmer Avenue, northbound U.S. 301 (Chamberlayne Road), and westbound Parham Road back to southbound I-95.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and focus on the road when traveling through work zones or follow posted detour signs when applicable.
