Weather permitting, nighttime ramp closures will occur at Route 7 (Leesburg Pike) interchanges in western Loudoun County Wednesday night, Oct. 28; Thursday night, Oct. 29; Tuesday night, Nov. 3; Wednesday night, Nov. 4; and Thursday night, Nov. 5, for milling and paving, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation.
Drivers are asked to follow posted detour signs for the closures, which will occur as follows:
Eastbound Route 7 ramp to Route 704 (Hamilton Station Road)
- 10 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28, to 4 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 29.
- 10 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 1, to 4 a.m. Monday, Nov. 2.
Traffic will be detoured via eastbound Route 7, Route 9 (Charles Town Pike), and Route 7 Business (East Colonial Highway) back to Route 704.

Southbound Route 287 traffic headed to eastbound Route 7 will be detoured via southbound Route 287, Route 7 Business (West Colonial Highway), and northbound Route 704 back to eastbound Route 7.
Westbound Route 7 ramp to Route 287
- 11 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 29, to 5 a.m. Friday, Oct. 30.
- 11 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 3, to 5 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 4.
Traffic will be detoured via westbound Route 7, the westbound Route 7 ramp to Route 7 Business (East Loudoun Street)/Round Hill/Purcellville, eastbound Route 7 Business, the Route 7 Business ramp to eastbound Route 7, and the eastbound Route 7 ramp to Route 287.
Eastbound Route 7 ramp to Route 287
- 10 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 3, to 4 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 4.
Traffic will be detoured via eastbound Route 7, Route 704, and Route 7 Business back to Route 287.
Route 287 ramp to eastbound Route 7

Eastbound Route 7 Business traffic headed to eastbound Route 7 will be detoured via eastbound Route 7 Business and Route 287 back to eastbound Route 7. Westbound Route 7 Business traffic headed to eastbound Route 7 will be detoured via westbound Route 7 Business through the town of Round Hill back to eastbound Route 7.
Route 704 ramp to eastbound Route 7
- 10 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 5, to 4 a.m. Friday, Nov. 6.
Northbound Route 704 traffic headed to eastbound Route 7 will be detoured via northbound Route 704 and Route 9 back to eastbound Route 7. Southbound Route 704 traffic headed to eastbound Route 7 will be detoured via southbound Route 704, Route 7 Business, and the ramp to eastbound Route 7 via the Route 7 Business/Route 9/Dry Mill Road roundabout.
Westbound Route 7 ramp to Route 704
- 10 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 5, to 4 a.m. Friday, Nov. 6.
Traffic will be detoured via westbound Route 7, Route 287, and eastbound Route 7 back to Route 704.
