Hanover County 4-H has announced that two of its youth members, Ruth Haile and Rachel Haile, have been inducted into the 2025 Virginia 4-H All-Star Class. This recognition is rewarded for “years of leadership, service and commitment to the values of 4-H.”
Both girls have been highly invested in a wide range of 4-H programs, including the Three Rivers Livestock Club, where they have raised and shown animals exemplifying their commitment to the field. They have demonstrated strong public speaking and presentation skills in the Hanover County Communication Contest, as well. According to Hanover 4-H leaders, both have also actively participated in regional and state animal science programs, broadening their knowledge and showcasing their commitment to learning and personal growth.

The Virginia 4-H All-Stars is the highest recognition a 4-H member can earn. The honor is awarded to youth who have demonstrated excellence in the 4-H ideals of Head, Heart, Hands and Health, going above and beyond to lead, serve and make a positive impact in their communities. It is a lifelong membership that’s based on a “commitment to continue service and leadership beyond active club participation.”
