Poca Go! mountain bike race returns to Pocahontas State Park
Chesterfield, Va. – Mountain bike enthusiasts are invited to join the thrill of Poca Go!, an enduro-style cross-country mountain bike race at Pocahontas State Park, taking place Saturday, Oct. 3.
This stage race is held along the park’s Swift Creek single-track flow trails. Racers are solo on each timed stage, not side-by-side with another racer, and buffered by 30 seconds.
Categories range from beginner and youth to expert and masters, accommodating riders of all experience levels.

Event highlights
- Course amenities include marshals, medics, hydration stops, bike maintenance stations, restrooms and awards presentations.
- Kids race for 2- to 10-year-olds.
- As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and volunteer-run event, 100% of race proceeds fund maintenance and improvements for Pocahontas State Park’s mountain bike trails.

Poca Go! is part of the Virginia State Parks Adventure Series presented by Dominion Energy. The series features a year-long lineup of outdoor challenges designed to inspire exploration and adventure across the commonwealth.
Participants earn standings in either competition or achievement categories, with prizes including Virginia State Parks passes, cash and REI gift cards.
