Richmond, Va – Feed More has received a generous contribution from the Food Lion Feeds Charitable Foundation to help nourish children and families during the summer months. The Summers Without Hunger grant supports community feeding partners by helping increase access to nutritious food, nutritional education and resources for children and families experiencing food insecurity.
For more than three decades, Food Lion associates have found meaningful ways to give back to our Central Virginia neighbors. Through the Summers Without Hunger grant, Food Lion Feeds is helping Feed More provide nutritious food and resources to children and families during the summer, when children may have less consistent access to meals. This support strengthens Feed More Children’s Programs like our Summer Food Service Program, which provides wholesome breakfast and lunch meals for kids all summer long, free of charge.
